I’d like to start this post with a big thank you to everyone who took part and helped on the day the BBC came to film at Velvet Hall Alpacas. It was a little bit stressful for us, but we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and at least it wasn’t raining.
Well, it seems such a long time ago since the BBC were filming the trek at Velvet Hall, and interviewing Steph with all her wedding photographs. However, the BBC has at last announced the name of the program “The Farmers’ Country Showdown“. The episode filmed at Velvet Hall Alpacas with all the trekkers will be aired on the 27th of February, on BBC1 at 15:45. So all you trekkers can put the date in your diary.
There will be 15 episodes in total that will go out every weekday over a 3 week period starting on Monday 13th of February.
Filming at the Westmorland County Show, and Hejira is either camera shy, or just thinking of her stomach.
Hejira, Mischief and Iqaluit all ready for action at the Westmorland County Show.
Jean seems to be taking this TV filming in her stride, but Hejira, well she seems to be saying “one does not do TV”.
I must confess to being a little bit nervous as the 27th looms ever nearer, especially when we both hate being photographed at the best of times, never mind being on TV. However, this is as much to do with the promotion of alpacas so a little bit of discomfort is a price worth paying. I am certain that by 15:30 on the 27th a small something will be needed to calm the nerves. I say small…………a triple brandy with a brandy chaser may be necessary.
