Alpaca has been prized as far back as 5000BC when it was used to make clothes for the Inca royalty. Known as the 'Fibre of the Gods' in South America due to its amazing warmth and softness. Alpaca is a very fine and light fibre; it does not retain water, is very breathable and is also fire resistant.
Super soft and lightweight, alpaca has a unique fibre that has evolved to be cool in summer and warm in winter, and it's even hypoallergenic! All our hand finished products are made from fleece from our own herd, and are natural colours. We do not dye or use any chemicals in the manufacturing of our products, making the manufacturing process as environmentally friendly as possible. All our hand made products come with a unique invitation to meet the alpaca that has donated the fleece to make your garment.
Using our own herd fleece makes our garments a sustainable source of fibre, which also means we have full control over our environmental, ethical and carbon neutral responsibilities.
